eCopy was already a well established leader of document management, but developing a new mounting bracket for every copier was proving expensive and complicated. They asked us to help them find a solution, and we managed to improve the usability and ergonomics as well.
We worked closely with eCopy to develop a kiosk unit that was flexible enough to work with any copier that could operate with their software. Instead of typing on a resistive touch copier screen, we designed an adjustable hardware keyboard, and a 10.5″ touch screen, all mounted on a flexible arm to ensure that the unit was ADA compliant.
The adjustable arm was meticulously designed to strike a balance between stiffness and smooth adjustability. By using high-quality materials and precision engineering, the arm maintains a firm grip when set in place, preventing unwanted movement or sagging. At the same time, its internal mechanism allows for effortless adjustments, ensuring smooth, fluid motion without compromising stability. This thoughtful design allows users to easily fine-tune the position while keeping the arm securely locked in place when needed.
Our engineers traveled to South Korea for first article inspection at various vendors, and helped solve initial manufacturing issues on site, enabling them to get their product to market even quicker.
